Vitamin A Infusion

Description

Unlike most peels, this is a non-acid peel. It works using concentrated Retinaldehyde (Vitamin A), and behaves differently than traditional acid-based peels.

Our skin cells are constantly renewing, but as we age the rate at which our cells renew (AKA our skin cell turnover) slows down. Vitamin A causes a dramatic increase in cell turnover, to the degree that most of our cells experience mild to moderate flaking of the outer layers of skin following treatment. The skin cells are renewing at such a rate that dull, keratinised cells on the surface are literally pushed off by new cells coming through. Increased cell turnover helps to fade pre-existing pigmentation on the skin, leading to a more even skin tone.

Vitamin A also reduces oil production in the skin, making this treatment incredibly effective for treating acne, breakouts, congestion, blackheads and enlarged pores.

✨ Willow Herb - anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant

FAQs for Treatment

How often should I get a Vitamin A Infusion?

We recommend a Vitamin A Infusion every 4-6 weeks. If you’re experiencing acne, we suggest a Vitamin A Infusion every 4 weeks, as the skin regenerates itself every ~28 days and rebalancing the skin at the beginning of each cycle is highly effective in treating acne.

Is it painful?

Not at all! It’s relaxing and regenerating.

How can I prepare my skin for this treatment?

We recommend being prepped on a retinaldehyde product such as Osmosis Correct for at least one month prior to receiving this treatment. This will minimize any purging.

What is downtime and aftercare like?

There is no downtime. You can continue your regular skincare routine and wear makeup as per usual.
